Job Description

We are seeking a knowledgeable, professional and detail-oriented Legal Officer to provide legal support, ensure regulatory compliance and assist with the organisation's legal and contractual matters.

The successful candidate will handle legal documentation, review agreements, provide legal guidance and help protect the organisation's interests while ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

Key Responsibilities

- Provide legal advice and support on organisational activities.

- Draft, review and interpret contracts, agreements and other legal documents.

- Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations and statutory requirements.

- Conduct legal research and prepare legal opinions when required.

- Assist in managing contractual disputes and legal matters.

- Maintain proper records of legal documents and agreements.

- Liaise with external lawyers, regulatory bodies and other relevant stakeholders.

- Monitor changes in legislation and advise management accordingly.

- Support management in identifying and minimising legal risks.

Requirements

- Bachelor's Degree in Law (LL.B).

- Must have been called to the Nigerian Bar (BL).

- Minimum of 2–3 years of relevant legal experience.

- Good knowledge of Nigerian corporate, commercial and employment laws.

- Excellent drafting, negotiation and legal research skills.

- Strong communication and analytical abilities.

- High level of professionalism, confidentiality and integrity.
