Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Tendering and Bidding Officer to identify, prepare, and submit competitive bids and tenders for public and private sector opportunities. The successful candidate will manage the end-to-end bidding process, ensuring compliance with client requirements and submission deadlines while maximizing the company's chances of winning contracts.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and identify tender opportunities from government, private sector, and international organizations.
- Review tender documents, specifications, and eligibility requirements.
- Prepare and coordinate bid submissions, proposals, and supporting documentation.
- Gather information from relevant departments to develop accurate and competitive bids.
- Ensure all tender submissions comply with client requirements and company policies.
- Maintain a database of tender opportunities, submissions, and outcomes.
- Liaise with clients, procurement officers, and stakeholders regarding tender clarifications.
- Track bid deadlines and ensure timely submission of all documents.
- Conduct market research and competitor analysis to improve bid success rates.
- Prepare reports on bidding activities and contract awards.
- Support contract negotiation and handover processes after successful bids.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Procurement, Marketing, Engineering, Economics, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in tendering, bidding, procurement, or proposal management.
- Strong knowledge of Nigerian procurement processes and tendering procedures.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Ability to analyze tender requirements and prepare compelling proposals.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
- Experience with government and corporate tenders is an added advantage.
