Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and highly organized Operations & Logistics Manager to oversee daily operational activities and logistics functions. The successful candidate will be responsible for optimizing operational processes, managing supply chain activities, coordinating transportation and inventory management, and ensuring efficient delivery of products and services while maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and cost-effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop and implement operational strategies to improve productivity and efficiency.
- Plan, coordinate, and oversee logistics, transportation, warehousing, and distribution activities.
- Monitor inventory levels and ensure accurate stock management.
- Manage relationships with suppliers, vendors, transport providers, and other stakeholders.
- Ensure timely delivery of goods and services to customers and project sites.
- Analyze operational and logistics performance metrics and prepare management reports.
- Identify process improvement opportunities and implement corrective actions.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and safety standards.
- Develop and manage operational and logistics budgets.
- Lead, supervise, and mentor operations and logistics personnel.
- Resolve operational challenges and logistics issues promptly to minimize disruptions.
- Coordinate cross-functional activities to support business objectives.

Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in operations and logistics management.
- Strong knowledge of supply chain, inventory management, transportation, and warehousing operations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and logistics management software.
- Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and organizational skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities effectively.

Preferred Qualifications

- Professional certifications such as Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (CILT), Supply Chain certifications, PMP, or related qualifications.
- Experience managing large-scale logistics operations.
- Knowledge of Nigerian logistics regulations and industry best practices.
